This is an all-media workshop; you can come with your favorite media - watercolor, acrylics, pencils, pastels, and more. You will explore ideas, concepts, and compositions, textures, and feelings in order to create the most authentic fantasy tree for yourself. The Magical twist: Everyone has the option to pull a random evocative word ( like “silk”, “whisper”, or “mechanical”, and many more) from our prompt hat. You will be able to use one or more words to inspire a special quality, texture, or a story for your tree! It’s completely optional but guaranteed to spark amazing ideas. We will get inspired by seeing some fantasy trees and real-life unusual trees as well. We will spend some time sketching and planning our designs and compositions. We will incorporate the new ideas we have from the prompt hat. You will receive guidance for the optimal process considering your chosen medium, in order to transfer your best ideas onto the paper. There will be guidance for perspective, light, textures, and anything else you need. At the end, everyone will have the option to share about their tree and experience painting it.
